Who we are

Meet the founder

Pinpoint Markers was born from real frustration and hands-on experience. Designed to solve a problem many face but few talk about.

From a young age, I have always loved solving problems and coming up with creative solutions. The idea for Pinpoint Markers came to me whilst fitting a front splitter to my car. The splitter had no pre-drilled holes or instructions and my first attempts using tape and cardboard to align the pre-existing fixings were either inaccurate or impractical. After searching for a proper tool and finding nothing that worked well, I realised this was a gap that needed filling.

Out of frustration and a drive to fix the issue, I created my own marking tool—Pinpoint Markers. I quickly discovered that others in the industry faced the same challenges, especially when dealing with blind threaded holes. What started as a personal solution soon grew into something bigger, and that’s how Pinpoint Markers was born!

Instructions

Our work process

01
Unpack Your Kit

Open your set and check for 4 connector markers, 4 threaded markers, 1 paint square, 1 sticker. Make sure all parts are clean and undamaged.

02
Prepare the Fixing Area

Ensure holes or threads are clean and free of contaminants for smooth marker insertion and best results.

03
Fit Rubber End Cap Properly

Check the Rubber End Cap is securely and evenly fitted to the marker to ensure accurate paint transfer.

04
Installation

Screw the marker into place without bottoming out; leave a slight spring in the rubber tip for optimal paint transfer.

05
Apply Paint Evenly

Dab the paint square lightly over each marker until evenly coated; avoid runs and reapply if needed.

06
Make the Mark

Press your workpiece against the markers with firm, even pressure—don’t slide the material to avoid smudging.

07
Set the Mark

After the paint transfers, use a centre punch and marker pen to make your mark clear, accurate and easy to follow in case you accidently wipe or smudge the paint mark.

08
Remove and Clean

Unscrew the markers (use the Allen Key slot in the Threaded Markers if stuck), clean them, and store safely away from sunlight and children.

What materials can I use Pinpoint Markers on?

Pinpoint Markers work on metal, wood, plastic, glass, and more. They’re ideal for internal and external threads, rivnuts, taped holes, and hard-to-reach spots.

Lightly dab the white paint square onto the rubber tip of each marker until it has even coverage. Avoid overloading with paint—no drips or runs.

Remove the Rubber End Cap to access the built-in Allen Key slot. Use an Allen key to unscrew the stuck marker, then reattach the cap properly.

Yes, Pinpoint Markers are reusable. Clean them with a damp cloth, dry thoroughly, and store them in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of children’s reach.
